As Expo 2020 drew to a close, 35 of our Northern Emirates Wonderworkers joined another 5,000 participants at the Expo site to walk for People and Planet on Tuesday, 29th March 2022 - turning us into THE OnederWALKERS!
We met at the start line at 7.15 am, excited and raring to go whilst listening to music from Queen to get us in the mood (a favourite band of our leader Mr. T) The sun was shining and excitement was in the air as it was the first time we were able to take part in a CSR event as a team since Covid struck. The walk was 3km in total and the energy was high for everyone.
We walked past many pavilions along the way including Spain, Singapore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany, UAE, and many more. We received numerous comments during the walk from past and present customers who complimented our Do-Good t-shirts and praised us for taking part. We also received comments from potential new customers who recognised we were from THE One, thanks to our CSR flags, and had heard we were winners of GPTW 2021! (And now 2022!)
We were applauded as we raced to the finish line before relaxing on the grass in Festival Garden to enjoy our breakfast snack provided by the Expo team, which was then followed by a group photo shoot of course. A great way to start the day and a great contribution towards creating a cleaner, safer and healthier future for all. Well done THE Onederworkers. See you again soon at our next CSR event!
